These technologies are tools we can use to make our lives better in some way, take, for example, the Internet of Things (IoT).

The IoT been made possible by more efficient and cheaper connectivity and will likely affect us all, at home as well as at work.

That said, its main purpose should be to enhance our lives – not to dominate them.

I do agree that personal connections are paramount and we should never lose track of the need to connect with real people.

In my view, although AI and Machine Learning can serve us well, we are the ones driving the technology and as such have a duty to control it as well.
